This week it was rehearsal week, well at least three days of it were. We met up at Martin our Managers place to try and put a new set list together for the European tour, that includes songs from our new CD x93Into the Wild.x94 Before we started, on day one we had a photo session, as our new record company Frontiers needed some good promotion pictures.
This went very well, and it was soon job done.
We also had a long meeting with Martin over various issues, so it really was a fragmented first day. Still when we started rehearsing it became apparent what songs are going to work best, and we settled for the moment on seven of the tracks. This can all change as we go on, but it is a good starting place.
The songs sounded pretty good, and it was interesting to work them up into the set, and we then have to putty them around to get the best possible list. There are many things to take into consideration putting a set list together, as it is not just a matter of playing the songs in any order, as the keys and tempos play an important part in getting the right flow together.
Bernie and I went home each night so that was an extra 3 hours driving on top of the rehearsing, photo sessions and meetings, so we were pretty tired at the end of each day.
While we were there we had the chance to look at the EPK x96 Electronic Press Kit, that had been put together, and it works very well. In between all of the above we were also doing a lot of interviews, so it was a busy time.
By the time we had finished, we have a strong set list to play, and we will reconvene on the 8th April to run through it as a refresher, and tweek it a little, just before the tour starts on the 12th April in Weert Holland.
